The Geee! in Genome Traveling Exhibition

The Geee! in Genome exhibition is an extensive multifaceted public education project produced by the Canadian Museum of Nature and presented nationally by Genome Canada in partnership with the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the PEI BioAlliance. The 2,500 square foot bilingual exhibition educates Canadians about genomics, its applications to nature and human life, and the important contributions of Canadian scientists to this exciting field. Highlights of the exhibition are accessible on-line at the Genome Canada website.
Gowlings Student Essay Contest

SUBMIT YOUR ESSAY NOW FOR A CHANCE TO WIN YOUR FIRST YEAR TUITION
Gowling Lafleur Henderson is accepting submissions for its Student Essay Contest. The contest is open to all Canadian high-school students planning on attending a Canadian post-secondary institution in a life sciences-related field of study in the 2007 calendar year. One prize will be awarded to the author of the winning essay and will include first-year tuition in a life sciences-related field up to a maximum of $5,000. What do you think is “Canada’s Top Biotechnology Story for 2006”? BIOTECanada - Biogen Idec Teaching Excellence Award

Recognize a leader in your community!
Submit your application for the BIOTECanada - Biogen Idec Teaching Excellence Award by May 15
This unique national award program is dedicated to promoting and recognizing teaching of biotechnology at the secondary school level in Canada. It includes three annual cash awards, one for $5,000 and two for $2,500. The cash award would be divided equally between the winning teacher and his/her school. Full time teachers currently presenting biotechnology curriculum in Canadian schools at the secondary school level or in grades 7 to 12 may apply.
All submissions must be received no later than May 15, 2007 to BIOTECanada

BIOTECanada-TVG BioPartnering North America Bursary 2008 Applications Now Available
This Bursary Program is open to graduate and post-graduate students studying in a biotechnology-related program in Canada to attend the BioPartnering Conference in Vancouver, February 3-5, 2008. Deadline: Dec. 31, 2007. Download the PDF application form for more details.
