  • Charlottetown company signs agreement with province for supply of cannabis

    Canada’s Island Garden, is expanding its Charlottetown facility next year to meet the demand for medical marijuana as well as recreational marijuana once it is legalized. The Charlottetown-based company is one of three companies that has entered into an agreement to supply the P.E.I. government with legal and regulated marijuana.     Croda International Plc, who creates, makes and sells speciality chemicals for some of the biggest, most successful brands in the world, has announced that it has acquired Nautilus Biosciences Canada Inc. (‘Nautilus’), a technology-rich marine biotechnology company based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada.

  • National Report Identifying Priorities to Position Canada as Global Leader in Value-Added Bioproducts Released

    The BioAlliance is one of a number of industry members of the Canadian Industrial Bioproducts Value Chain Roundtable involved in the Canadian Industrial Bioproducts Industry Priorities Paper, released today. The paper was developed by industry members of the IBVRCT based on the Round Table’s strategic plan (2017 – 2019) and 2016/17 policy consultations across Canada. Priorities outlined within cover four main market segments: biochemical, bioenergy, biofuels and biomaterials.
